We have been preaching for a couple of years now about the historic real estate opportunities which are presenting themselves in and around Beaufort, SC. Mortgage rates are under 4 percent for qualified buyers, and some property owners are selling for a fraction of what they were just a few years ago. There are deep-water homesites once priced in the mid $400,000 range selling for $215,000. There are terrific single family homes in great neighborhoods selling for half of what they would have five years ago. And, if you need any more persuading, consider the condominium home in historic downtown Beaufort's Old Point District which just sold for $204,000.
