We have been preaching for a couple of years now about the historic real estate opportunities which are presenting themselves in and around Beaufort, SC. Mortgage rates are under 4 percent for qualified buyers, and some property owners are selling for a fraction of what they were just a few years ago. There are deep-water homesites once priced in the mid $400,000 range selling for $215,000. There are terrific single family homes in great neighborhoods selling for half of what they would have five years ago.
