THROUGH THREE QUARTERS, BATTERY POINT SALES FIGURES, PRICES DOWN

Homes for Sale in Beaufort, SCThe book has closed on the third quarter real estate market in Beaufort, SC. As was the case with much of the Beaufort, SC real estate market, values and number of transactions are down through the first three quarters of the year in Battery Point.

There have been 9 sales in Battery Creek through September 30, compared with 16 for the same time period in 2008.

The median sales price for Battery Point this year has been $287,500, down about 8 percent from the $310,000 median sales price from the same time period last year.

The median Battery Point home has lost about 13 percent of its value since 2006, when the Beaufort real estate market began to slow. Through the first three quarters of 2006, the median home price was $329,000, and there were 23 sales in the neighborhood.
